Sixty Feet
Setting the prisoners free in Jesus' name
Sixty Feet targets a specific category of children… the least of the least – those imprisoned in Africa and more specifically Uganda. Some of these children have committed serious offenses. Some are as young as 2 years of age and have committed no offense at all. Working alongside Ugandan government officials we work in the detention facilities, and in the villages where the children come from, to bring hope and help – immediate relief and long-term restoration.
Bwerenga Village
Caring for the least of these
Pastor Ernest and Maama Catherine currently foster 35 kids and have fostered over 200 kids in their lifetime. Pastor Ernest is the pastor of Ava's home church. Gateway Nursery and Primary School
Training Godly leaders in Uganda
Gateway Nursery and Primary School was started six years ago with three teachers to provide an education for approximately 30 foster children. The villagers of Bwerenga then began to ask if their children could be educated there as well. The school has now grown to Pre-K through 7th grade and serves about 215 children. The school provides a Christ-centered and high quality education that leads many to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and allows families of Bwerenga Village to remain living in their community and additionally, takes in children rescued from the prison system. Gateway Nursery and Primary School is raising up a generation of students who love the Lord and are being prepared to go out into the world and make a difference.
